More about me

My name is Andre Visagie. I’m a Christian, the husband of Lizanne, and we have two young children (with another on the way). I serve as Rector of Christ Church Tygerberg, which is part of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of South Africa.

I received my under-graduate theological training at George Whitefield College and post-graduate degree in New Testament studies at the University of Stellenbosch.

I believe that God still speaks through what he has spoken and that nothing is more important than that we hear what God is saying through the ancient – yet ever relevant – Scriptures.

This blog consists of my thoughts and reflections on the Bible, particularly how the Bible speaks to contemporary issues in the church and the world.
