Are you a Trinitarian heretic?

One of the mysteries of the Bible is the nature of God himself; that God is Trinity.

Trinity means tri-unity – three in oneness.  There is diversity in unity.

God is three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and each person in fully God.

Yet, we believe in one God, not three.

The word “Trinity” does not occur in the Bible and opponents of Christianity are very quick to point that out.  But the Bible certainly teaches the fact that God is Trinity.

There are many other words that do not occur in the Bible either.

The Holy Spirit is not The Force (The dangerous gospel of the Jehovah Witnesses)

 

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are on a massive marketing campaign in our area.  Unfortunately, the gospel that they are marketing is a false gospel that cannot save.  It is a gospel that undermines the Person of Jesus and the Person of the Holy Spirit.

The JW’s say that Jesus is not God, but a created being.  Thus, they deny the Lordship of Christ.

Not only that, they also deny the deity of the Holy Spirit.  They teach that the Holy Spirit is simply a force or influence. Therefore, they deny the Trinity that says there is one God made up of three Persons.  Christian people, however, hold to the doctrine of the Trinity, because it is taught in the Bible.

What is the Trinity? (and why is it important?)

A tortoise was making his way across the lawn when all of a sudden he was nastily mugged by a ruthless gang of snails.  Later, when the tortoise reported the crime at the police station, the officer asked him if he could describe any of his attackers.  The tortoise replied, “Oh officer, it all happened so fast!” You see it all boils down to perspective!  And more than anything else we need a right perspective or doctrine of God.
